The Western Michigan Broncos are off to their best start since 2000 with a 4-1 record headed into a homecoming game with Ohio Saturday at Waldo Stadium. Broncos Linebacker Boston McCornell was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week.
McCornell recorded 10 tackles as a part of a staunch defense that allowed only 3 points to the Temple Owls last Saturday. The Broncos lone touchdown came on a 30-yard-pass from Tim Hiller to Juan Nunez’.
Hiller is currently 9th in passing yards nationally. Hiller says every week is going to be a challenge in the MAC. The Broncos and Bobcats kickoff Saturday at 2pm from Waldo Stadium.
