Rumors Abound For Lions Over The Weekend

It was a rumor filled weekend for the Detroit Lions as new General Manager Martin Mayhew looked to improve the 0-16 Lions. The big rumor had the Lions acquiring New England Patriots Quarterback Matt Cassel before offering him in a trade to the Denver Broncos for Jay Cutler.

That trade was turned down but the Lions did send Jon Kitna to the Dallas Cowboys for Cornerback Anthony Henry.

Than they turned around and signed former 1st round draft pick Bryant Johnson a receiver from San Francisco, Tennessee Cornerback Eric King and former Seattle back-up Running Back Maurice Morris.

Not the big names quite yet...but last season's starting Quarterback for most of the season Dan Orlovsky signed a deal with the Houston Texans.
