Coming away with a win is always good but Spartan coach Tom Izzo took a more bittersweet approach feeling the Hawkeyes gave MSU a little too much trouble. They still grabbed the 62-54 victory but he didn’t care for the timing of it.
If it hadn’t been for the Spartans control of the boards it could have been far worse.
Michigan State wraps up the regular on the road with three straight against Illinois, Indiana who lost to Northwestern last night then finish at Purdue on March eighth.
