On the heels of the collapse of the Jackson 5 reunion tour comes news of a much cooler quintet reset – I’m copywriting that, just so you know. The Detroit Free Press is reporting Michigan’s original Fab Five – Webber, Howard, Rose, King and Jackson – weill reunite in public for the first time since their final game 16 years ago at the Final Four at the Motor City Casino in Detroit April 4. They couldn’t hold it on Michigan’s campus for, ahem, NCAA reasons. Very cool angle: The event will be a fundraiser for the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History.
