In Allen Park the Detroit Lions are still searching for their 1st win of the season after a 28-21 loss to the Houston Texans Sunday. Newly crowned number 1 receiver Calvin Johnson caught 2 passes for 154 yards in the loss. Lions Head Coach Rod Marinelli says what everyone has been thinking for about a year…they need to get Calvin Johnson the ball more.
Johnson broke free on a 96-yard-touchdown run off a pass from Lions Quarterback Dan Orlovsky. The play has the world finally taking notice of why exactly Matt Millen picked Johnson with the Lions 2nd pick 2 years ago.
This week relief comes in the form of the 5-2 Washington Redskins…oh I guess that’s not relief after all.
