Eastern Michigan is 2-7 and may not appear to be a formidable opponent for the 6-2 Western Michigan Broncos Saturday afternoon. They have however outscored the Broncos 70-64 in their previous 3 meetings.
7 wins has major significance for the Broncos…as the Bowls begin to select their teams in December…not a single 6 win team from any conference can be chosen to participate in a bowl.
8 wins and the Broncos guarantee a spot in one of the games tied to the Mid-American Conference.
