The Pistons moved out of Cobo Hall in Detroit years ago but it hasn’t stopped the Sporting News from naming the city of Detroit their 2nd best sports city in America today.
Only Boston was higher on the Sporting News list…a real achievement for Detroit considering the poor seasons the Tigers and now Lions are having.
The selection committee took into account fans in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor in picking Detroit and it’s suburbs. It’s the first time the suburbs have been included in the rankings.
