
BALTIMORE--Tigers split a four-game set with 3-0 victory against Baltimore over the weekend taking back to back games at Camden Yard.
Curtis Granderson temporarily stepping into the clean-up spot for the first time in his career blasted a solo over the center field wall in the fourth to put the Tigers on the board first. Jeff Larish went 2-3 with a RBI double and Clete Thomas also added an RBI double to seal the victory in the ninth.
Tiger’s pitching finally holding up their end as Edwin Jackson retired the first 11 batters he faced in his 8 shut-out innings. He allowed only two hits and a walk with seven K’s before Fernando Rodney earned his 10th save.
Tigers will bring it back to the D for a three in a row as they face Boston starting Tuesday at 7:00.
