Jonathon Ericsson, Valtteri Fillula and Justin Abdelkader scored in succession after a first-period score from Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin as the Wings attempt to become the first club in history to repeat as back-to-back champions as they did in ’97 and ’98. Tomas Holmstrom and Marian Hossa added two assists.
The Penguins are now in familiar territory as the series heads to Pittsburgh with Detroit leading 2 games to none—Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it!
