Justin Verlander got shelled Wednesday, giving up 9 hits and 7 earned runs in five innings as the Tigers fell to Atlanta 9-3 in Lakeland. It was Verlander’s last run-through before opening day Monday in Toronto. And speaking of Opening Day, say hello to your new right-handed rookie pitchers – Rick Porcello and Ryan Perry will be on the Opening Day roster.
