Michigan State at Crisler Arena last night, hadn’t won their last two trips there – a must win for the Wolverines.
The first half a very low-scoring affair, Spartans lead 23 to 15 measly points for Michigan, Big Blue shooting 32 percent. Second half though, Michigan starts to look like they can hang.
Michigan’s leading scorer Manny Harris would only finish with 7 though, and the Wolverines shot 4-24 from beyond the arc. Down the stretch Michigan just couldn’t close the gap, Michigan State continues its ownership of Michigan 54-42. And just like that, the NCAA Selection Committee won’t return John Beilein’s calls…
