You'd think a coach who just went to the Super Bowl would have some degree of job security but Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast found out that's not true in his case. He was let go Saturday in a move that landed in the old "What's best for the team" category and now a week after playing in the championship game the Cards are without both coordinators. Todd Haley is now tasked with returning the Kansas City Chiefs to a playoff team. Pendergast was a carry over from the Dennis Green days coming on board in 2004.
