Super Bowl XLIII set

In your NFL recap on the NFC side, the Arizona Cardinals grounded the Philadelphia Eagles 32-25 despite blowing an 18-point halftime lead. Donovan McNabb will retire someday with a nice little highlight reel, but he cannot win the big games – period.

And your Super Bowl champion, er, I mean your AFC conference winner, is the Pittsburgh Steelers after they beat the Baltimore Ravens 23-14. Steeler QB Ben Roethlisberger was great – 255 yards and a score – but the key play came from, not surprisingly, safety Troy Polamalu with a 40-yard interception return for paydirt. The Steelers will claim their next Super Bowl win February 1st.
