Michigan native John Smoltz who has spent an amazing 21 seasons with the Atlanta Braves will have to learn the streets of Boston as he becomes a member of the Red Sox. He's coming off major shoulder surgery but feels he can still not only pitch well but stay in a starter role.
Although not a completely done deal it looks like Smoltz may earn about 5 million with a chance to match that amount with performance bonuses. He enjoys an unrivaled 200 win, 150 save career.
