The Red Wings-starter-free All-Star game happens this Sunday at 6. A nation of alleged “hockey fans” voted Detroit out of the starting lineup, the rest of the roster was selected by the NHL’s hockey operations department in consultation with the GM’s – i.e. people who know something about hockey. And those people put Red Wings Pavel Datsyuk and Niklas Lidstrom in the game. It’s Lidstrom’s 10th straight trip.
