Detroit Lions wide receiver Mike Furrey had to track down GM Martin Mayhew in a cafeteria to find out he’d been placed on IR – The Detroit Free Press reporting that on Tuesday Mayhew released him over the phone. Real classy, huh? Stay tuned for some off-season media hype about how this is a “new look” Lions team.
