
The women's basketball team lost 66-40 at Calvin on Saturday, Jan. 24. The Hornets, playing with just seven healthy players, trailed 36-18 at halftime. The Knights shot 37.9 percent overall and made 10-of-31 three-pointers. Kalamazoo shot 31.3 percent and was 0-for-2 from behind the arch. Kalamazoo held a 52-28 advantage in rebounding, but the Hornets turned the ball over 39 times to Calvin's 14. Nyemade Cooper led Kalamazoo with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Michelle Maiuri scored 11 points with 12 rebounds. Andrea Bedway added eight points and was 6-of-6 at the line. The Hornets return home to face Trine on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
