JoePa denied in the Grandaddy of 'Em All


In the USC Bowl, formerly known as the Rose Bowl, the Trojans, making their fifth appearance in six seasons easily handled Penn State 38-24. This game was not as close as it sounds – USC was up 31-7 at the half. Trojan quarterback Mark Sanchez – 413 yards, 4 touchdowns – that’s big time. After the game USC coach Pete Carroll boarded his cloud-chariot drawn by pegasi and ascended back into the heavens.
