Here's Your Hardwood Update

Back-to-back wins over ranked opponents for NU and their first “W” ever at the Breslin Center – the Wildcats shock the Spartans – and the Big Ten, 70-63. Kevin Coble finished with 31 for the Cats and the 28-game home win streak ends for Sparty. Up next for MSU, a Sunday road game at Ohio State. Up next for Northwestern – a Saturday night game at Michigan, and don’t think the slumping Wolverines weren’t watching this one.

Detroit was very stingy allowing points last night as they manhandled the Toronto Raptors 95 to 76 at the Palace. Tayshaun Prince led the way with 25. The Pistons next host the two teams from Texas in this home stand.

The Bronco men’s team shrugged the large monkey from their backs after losing six straight and as a bonus got their first MAC win beating Eastern Michigan who is still looking for theirs 76 to 67. Western heads for Kent State for A Saturday game then shuffle off to Buffalo for one on the 31st.

A couple other local scores, the KVCC men’s team held off Muskegon CC 89 to 81 and Albion raced past K-College 64 to 32.
