Not a lot of MAC teams spend the season in the Top 25 Coaches Poll but the Ball State Cardinals enjoyed a season of seeming to be up a level or two. However that might have to pacify them until next year as they try to forget a 45-13 drubbing they took against Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl.
The Golden Hurricanes seem to like this particular bowl as they notched the biggest win in NCAA history while crushing Bowling Green 63-7.
The folks in charge of moving the chains had a tiring time as Tulsa racked up 632 yards of total offense. Ball State was still within reach at the half but it got away from them in the second stanza.
The Cardinals are now 0 and 5 in bowl games.
