Western Michigan hockey on the road this past weekend, taking on the high-powered Ohio State offense for a pair of games. On Friday a 2-all tie became a hard-fought shootout loss for Western – Riley Gill had 35 saves for the Broncos. On Saturday Gill was at it again, tabbing a season-high 37 saves against the CCHA conference-leading offense while four different Broncos scored to take the 4-1 upset win. Western Michigan hosts Northern Michigan on Friday and Saturday, with both games being televised. Friday’s game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit Plus and Saturday’s game will be broadcast by Comcast, with both games starting at 7:35 p.m.
