The Western Michigan split a home-and-home series with Ferris State over the weekend – and this time home ice was not very homey at all. On Friday the Broncos traveled to Big Rapids and put up a 2-1 win, thanks in large part to Bronco goalie Riley Gill who turned away 38 Bulldog shots, and freshmen Kyle O’Kane and J.J. Crew, who each scored their first collegiate goal.
On Saturday 2400 fans Lawson Arena to watch the Broncos get some payback from the Bulldogs as Ferris State came away with the 4-2 win.
This weekend Western closes out its non-conference schedule when Alabama-Hunstville comes to town for a pair of games at Lawson Friday and Saturday – both games have a 7:35pm start time.
