UW-Green Bay Comes To University Arena Tuesday

by Dan Cash

The Western Michigan Broncos look to recover from last week's loss to Southern Illinois when they take on 8-4 Wisconsin Green-Bay Tuesday at University Arena. The pre-season MAC West favorites have struggled out of the gate losing 9 of their first 12 games this season.

David Kool enters the game as the Broncos' leading scorer averaging 17 points-per-game this season. It has been a struggle for the Bronco freshman to gel with the rest of the team this season but Flenard Whitfield appears to be showing signs of life within the offense.

Whitfield is averaging just over 6 points a game in his freshman season for the Broncos. The Phoenix on the other hand are led by junior Troy Cotton's 13 points and senior Mike Schachtner's 12.6 points on the season.

The Broncos and Phoenix tip Tuesday at 6PM. The game time was moved because of a conflict with the Texas Bowl which the Bronco Football team is participating in, in Houston Tuesday.
