The Indianapolis Colts didn’t look particularly sharp at home Sunday, and the Lions have precious few opportunities left to avoid a winless season. The Colts certainly gave Detroit opportunities to steal this one. Down 21-10 at the break the Lions battled back in the second half to tie it at 21.
But that’s why they pay Peyton Manning the big bucks – he leads to Colts on two fourth-quarter scoring drives to win it 31-21. Manning finished with 318 yards and a score.
Dan Orlovsky, starting in place of the injured Daunte Culpepper and just getting over a broken thumb himself, had 233 yards, a TD and no picks in the losing effort.
The Lions last two games in the march to destiny are a home game with New Orleans this Sunday and a roadtrip to Green Bay to close out the season. Dan Cash will be talking Lions and taking your calls on the Dan Cash Show – tonight at 6 o’clock on 1660 The Fan.
