Former Detroit Lions Wide Receiver Charles Rogers is apparently ready to begin his road to recovery. Rogers was released from the Lions after numerous injuries and substance abuse penalties levied by the NFL.
Currently he is in the Oakland County Jail in Southeastern Michigan and is expected to remain until 8PM tonight. He has agreed to enter into substance abuse counseling as a condition of his release.
Rogers was originally placed in the jail after being charged with assault and battery involving a female acquitance. Rogers reportedly tested positive for Vicodin while being booked.
