Many great teams have played at Western Michigan University over the years but not a single one of them has won 10 games in a season. For that matter, not a single Bronco team has won 10 games in a season. This squad of Broncos can change all of that tonight when they take on 9-3 Rice in the Texas Bowl. Rice Head Coach Dave Bailiff says he knows just how good the Broncos are.
Bailiff employs former Bronco Defensive Coordinator Chuck Driesbach as his coordinator this season. Bailiff says Driesbach knows WMU Head Coach Bill Cubit very well from their days coaching together in the late 90's. Cubit says it will be interesting to take on an old friend in Houston.
The Broncos only losses came against Nebraska, Central Michigan and Ball State this season, while Rice dropped games to Vanderbilt, Texas and Tulsa. FOX 17 has the game locally while the NFL Network will carry the game nationally. Kickoff is set for 8PM.
