When the Detroit Pistons traded for Allen Iverson earlier this month they were trading for his late-game superstar qualities. In his 2nd game against a bona-a-fide superstar in Lebron James it wasn’t so much Iverson as Rasheed Wallace outdueling “The King” 96-89 Wednesday night.
Iverson finished the night with 23 points 4 assists and 4 steals but it was Wallace who dropped 21 points to go along with 15 rebounds including a 3-for-6 effort from beyond the arc.
Up next the Pistons are in Boston for a showdown with the Celtics at 8PM.
