Three-Goal Third Propels Red Wings Past Lightning

(Tampa, FL) -- Mikael Samuelsson had the go-ahead score in a three-goal third period as the Red Wings rallied past the Lightning 4-3 at the St. Pete Times Forum.

Henrik Zettergerg's power-play goal at 1:38 of the final frame tied the game at two and Samuelsson added a power-play goal 52 seconds later to give Detroit the lead. Johan Franzen scored at 9:21 to give the Wings a 4-2 lead.

Pavel Datsyuk also lit the lamp for Detroit, which got 15 saves from Chris Osgood. Mark Recchi and Jussi Jokinen scored in the first to stake Tampa Bay to a 2-0 lead.

Matt Pettinger notched his first goal of the season at 15:42 of the third to get the Bolts within one. Olaf Kolzig finished with 35 saves for the Lightning in defeat.
