It’s been a rough go in the career of John Beilien at Michigan. 0-10 last season against ranked teams and a 10-22 overall record. Thursday however Beilien’s fortunes changed as his young Wolverines held on for a 55-52 win over the 4th ranked UCLA Bruins at Madison Square Garden.
DeShawn Sims led the Wolverines with 18 points while Freshman Stu Douglass added a key 3 late in the 2nd half to push Michigan into the 2K Sports Classic Finals against the Duke Blue Devils tonight at 6:30 on 1660 THE FAN.
