Lions Celebrate Thanksgiving With Historic Loss

by Dan Cash

The Tennessee Titans gained 292 yards rushing and both of their featured running backs ran for over 100 yards in a 47-10 thrashing of the lowly Detroit Lions Thursday. The Lions gave up the most points in their history in the loss.

Daunte Culpepper finished the game 13-26 for 124 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The Titans on the other pulled away looking like a Pro team taking on a Pop Warner team forcing 9 punts by the Lions en route to 5 touchdowns and 4 field goals in the win.

The loss drops the Lions to 0-12 on the season while the Titans improve to 11-1. Up next Minnesota comes to Ford Field a week from Sunday with coverage beginning at Noon on 590 KZO.
