In Alberta the Detroit Red Wings were on top of their game in a 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers Thursday night. Thomas Kopecky scored 2 while Pavel Datsyuk scored the game’s opening goal before Jiri Hudler fired home the game-winner in the 2nd period.
The win improved the 1st place Red Wings to 13-2-3 on the season. The Red Wings return to action Saturday against the Calgary Flames.
