The awards filtered in today after the Western Michigan Broncos 23-17 upset win over Illinois Saturday at Ford Field. Wide Receiver Jamarko Simmons was named MAC West Offensive Player Of The Week while Louis Delmas took home Defensive Player Of The Week Honors and Kicker John Potter was named Special Teams Player Of The Week.
Simmons caught 11 passes for 174 yards breaking Greg Jennings career receptions record in the process. Delmas on the other hand recorded 12 tackles for the 5th time this season and Potter blasted 3 field goals including a 45-yarder in the 2nd half.
The Broncos look to finish off an undefeated season at home Saturday when Toledo comes to Waldo Stadium.
