At 8-2 the Western Michigan Broncos are looking to avoid a letdown this week against the Toledo Rockets. After the Broncos win over Illinois Saturday Safety Louis Delmas yelled Big Ten, Little MAC through a cheerleader’s microphone. That wasn’t spur of the moment…Coach Al Molde had the same motto in 1988.
The phrase was repeated after the Eastern Michigan game by Molde who was in town for the 20th anniversary of the MAC Championship. After a big upset win over the Fighting Illini some may be concerned about a letdown against a 2-7 Toledo team. Delmas however is confident in his team’s ability.
The Broncos and Rockets kick off Saturday at 2PM from Waldo Stadium. We’ll be live with the Powertrip Tailgate Show on Oliver Street from 11:30-1:30PM.
