Simmons was helped by a solid performance from Tim Hiller who finished 28-for-40 for 301 yards and 2 touchdowns. Head Coach Bill Cubit says this team showed some real character Saturday afternoon.
The win improves the Broncos to 8-2 on the season. 2-7 Toledo is up next Saturday at Waldo Stadium. A win over Toledo should guarantee a bowl berth while also setting up a showdown for the ages in the MAC when the Broncos could head to Muncie, Indiana November 25th against an undefeated Ball State team.
Toledo is up first Saturday with kickoff set for 2PM.
