WMU-CMU 1 DAY AWAY

by Dan Cash

The Western Michigan Broncos are now a single day from taking the field against their arch-rival Central Michigan Chippewa’s in Mt. Pleasant. Last season Jamarko Simmons was ejected from the game for a questionable kick on the sidelines…this year…Simmons has been a different player. A player who has stated from day 1 that his goal is leading the Broncos too a MAC Championship.

Simmons leads the Broncos into their biggest test to date in the MAC this season when they take on the Chippewa’s. Simmons will have plenty of back-up when it comes to Tim Hiller, Brandon West, Branden Ledbetter and of course last week’s leading receiver Schneider Julien.

The 6-1 Broncos will nearly assure themselves a bowl bid if the beat the Chippewa’s Saturday. While the 4-2 Chippewa’s still have some work to do because of losses at Purdue and Georgia this season. The Broncos and Chippewa’s kick off Saturday at Noon…we’ll keep you updated every score on 1660 THE FAN and at 1660 THE FAN.COM
