After an entire season of off the cuff comments about his beloved Texas…former Lions Wide Receiver Roy Williams is headed directly to the heart of Texas after being traded to the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday.
In exchange for Williams the Cowboys will send their 1st, 3rd and 6th round draft picks in 2009 as well as a 7th round pick in 2010. Williams departure is not the only major change for a Lions team that also sent Jon Kitna to the injured reserve list.
The move essentially assures the end of Kitna’s career with the Lions.
