After firing former Pitching Coach Chuck Hernandez earlier this month the Tigers decided to go with former Minnesota Twins Minor League Pitching Coordinator Rick Knapp.
Knapp has helped developed pitchers like Johan Santana, Matt Garza and Francisco Liriano. The Tigers decided not to interview former Atlanta Braves Pitching Coach Leo Mazzone.
