The Philadelphia Phillies took a commanding 3-1 lead in their best of seven World Series with the Tampa Bay Rays Sunday. Ryan Howard led the Phillies with 5 RBI’s on 3 hits and 2 homeruns en route to a 10-2 win.
Joe Blanton got the win for Philadelphia allowing 2 runs on 4 hits in 6 innings.
Up next the Phillies can win their first World Series since 1980 tonight when they send Cole Hamels to the hill with first pitch set for 8:00 tonight.
