Finally the Philadelphia Phillies took a 1-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays on the strength of a 3-2 win Wednesday. The Phillies took a 2-0 lead in the 1st on Chase Utley’s 1st homerun of the post-season.
On the hill it was Cole Hamels firing 7 innings, allowing only 2 runs on 5 hits in the win. Up next is game 2 tonight at 8 on FOX Television.
