Lions Fall To 0-7 After Washington Loss

by Dan Cash

Up 10-6 at the half it appeared the Detroit Lions were on their way to there first win of the 2008 football season. That all changed when Santana Moss caught a 50-yard-touchdown pass early in the 3rd quarter to make it 16-10. Than it was Moss returning a punt 80-yards-for-a-touchdown on the ensuing possession…before Calvin Johnson brought the Lions to within 22-17.

The Lions failed on their final possession to give the Redskins a 25-17 win. Lions Quarterback Dan Orlovsky finished 21-of-35 for 223 yards and a touchdown in the loss. He says it’s another difficult loss against a good team.

Next week the 0-7 Lions will be in search of their first win against the Chicago Bears. Coverage from Soldier Field begins at Noon Sunday on 590 KZO.
