You may not have heard but the 6-1 Western Michigan Broncos head to Mt. Pleasant Saturday for a showdown with the Central Michigan Chippewa’s. Broncos Wide Receiver Jamarko Simmons and Linebacker Austin Pritchard joined “The Dan Cash Show” Wednesday evening. Simmons says they need all the help they can get from Bronco fans.
On day 1 at MAC Media Day in August Simmons said he had circled the Central Michigan game on his calendar.
Simmons is coming off a hard fought 10 catch performance in last week’s win over the Buffalo Bulls. The Broncos have lost 2 straight games to the Chippewa’s, but this season’s team is entirely different.
Tim Hiller is 5th in the nation in passing, Louis Delmas is tied for the national lead with 4 interceptions and Brandon West sits 19th in rushing yards nationally…ahead of names like Knowshon Moreno, PJ Hill and Ohio State’s Beanie Wells.
Austin Pritchard told me Wednesday that this Broncos team has learned from last season’s mistakes.
The 6-1 Broncos take on the 4-2 Central Michigan Chippewa’s this Saturday at Noon. The Broncos only loss came against Nebraska, while the Chippewa’s only losses came at the hands of Purdue and Georgia. Locally fans that can’t make the drive to Mt. Pleasant can catch the game on WZZM 13.
