The Western Michigan Broncos improved to 3-1 after pounding the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles 41-7 Saturday night at Waldo Stadium. Tim Hiller was nearly perfect completing 27-of-31 passes en route to 5 touchdowns,1 interception and 333 yards passing.
Benefiting from Hiller's accuracy was wideout Jamarko Simmons grabbing 10 catches for 115 yards...all in the first half. The stats went all around as Brandon West rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
The Broncos held complete control late in the 3rd quarter when backup Quarterback Drew Burdi, Running Back Kirk Elsworth and several other young Broncos made appearances.
The Broncos now head to Philadelphia next Saturday to take on Temple.
