In Chicago it wasn’t much better for the Tigers as the White Sox swept their doubleheader Sunday. Justin Verlander fell to 10-16 after a 4-2 game one loss where the Tigers threat was minimal.
In game 2 the Tigers fought back from a 7-0 deficit to tie the game at 7 on a Marcus Thames grand slam in the top of the 8th. That lead quickly evaporated when Dewayne Wise hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 8th to give the White Sox an 11-7 win.
Up next the Tigers head to Texas to take on the Rangers…coverage begins at 7:45 on 590 KZO.
