Not even the last place Kansas City Royals could help the Detroit Tigers win a baseball game Monday evening. Gil Meche fired 6 strong innings for the Royals allowing only 2 runs on 4 hits en route to a 6-2 win.
While David Dejesus went 4-for-4 and Michael Aviles drove in 2 to push the Royals past the Tigers. The Tigers are now only a game out of last place in the AL Central before game 2 tonight against the Royals.
