Lions Comeback Succeeds, Than Fails

Aaron Rodgers along with the help of Kalamazoo native Greg Jennings methodically moved the Green Bay Packers to a 21-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter Sunday. The lead slowly began to slip away in the 2nd half as the Lions defense held just enough for Calvin Johnson to score 2 touchdowns…his 2nd giving the Lions a 25-24 lead…

From there disaster struck as Rodgers hit Jennings for a reception reminding this reporter of his Western Michigan days…taking the Packers within the Lions 35-yard-line. Mason Crosby gave the Packers a 27-25 lead…on they would never relinquish as Jon Kitna collapsed in on himself like a neutron star. Kitna says this loss is all on him…

Kitna fired 3 interceptions in the 2nd half…including 2 that were returned for touchdowns. Lions Head Coach Rod Marinelli says he wasn’t pleased…

The 48-25 loss sends the Lions to 0-2 on the young season. Next week the Lions take a cross-country flight to 1-1 San Francisco. Kickoff is set for 4pm.
