Flooding, delays and the eventual change in venue…finally ended with a 6-5 Windy City win over Kalamazoo in the Frontier League Championship Thursday.
The win clinched a 3-game-sweep for the Thunderbolts after a furious Kings rally fell just short. Even with the loss the Kings had a successful season with the regular season’s best record and Fran Riordan being named Frontier League Manager of the Year.
