After a season marred by underperforming pitchers the Detroit Tigers have reportedly parted ways with pitching coach Chuck Hernandez.
Hernandez had been with the Tigers for 3-seasons leading the pitching to big success that peaked in the 2006 American League Championship Series.
2007 and 2008 have been dismal in comparison finishing last season 18th overall in pitching followed by a 27th place finish in 2008.
