Experienced Executives Want Lions Job

by Dan Cash

When Lions sole owner William Clay Ford Sr. fired Matt Millen after nearly 8 years of futility Wednesday, the question arose who WOULD want this job? 51 years with only 1 playoff win isn’t exactly a sparkling position.

The Detroit Free Press however found a former General Manager with all the intangibles…stating that he could be in Detroit tomorrow if the Lions wanted called him.

Former Tennessee Titans General Manager Floyd Reese led the Titans from 1994-2006 including a Super Bowl loss to the St. Louis Rams.

Reese called the Lions organization “One of the real uncut gems of the NFL”. At least one guy wants the job.
