The Central Collegiate Hockey Association released their pre-season Media and Coaches polls and the Western Michigan Broncos are last in each poll.
The Broncos are tied for 11th with Alaska in the Coaches version, while ranking 12th in the Media poll. The Broncos are coming off a disappointing 2007-2008 season in which they finished 8-27-3.
WMU opens their exhibition season Saturday at Lawson Arena. The puck drops at 7:35.
